The Milford High School Music Program was proud to present POPS 2013: “It’s A Grand Night for Singing” on March 23and 24. Both Choraleers and Center Stage performed on Friday and Saturday night in the Center for Performing Arts.
This year’s POPS included songs from Fame, Les Miserables, Godspell, Wicked, Guys and Dolls, Bye Bye Birdie and many more. “This year’s theme was so exciting!” said director Maryann Lambrecht. “It’s like going to see all your favorite musicals in one evening. The students are so talented. I think it is a great evening of entertainment.”

This was a fun way to remember those productions, which included some of Broadway’s most beloved songs. Some spectators favorite songs that were performed were “There Once Was A Man,” ”Footloose,” and “Steal Your Rock And Roll.”
The Milford High School Choir Groups are like one big family where all of the members develop extremely close friendships and bonds with one another. POPS is special to choir members because they get to share their love of music with everyone and they work so hard to prepare for the performance.
Not only was this year’s presentation special for the underclassmen, it was extremely special for this year’s seniors. Senior Emma Spadoni commented, “I liked all of the performances because each audience is different and you get a different reaction, which is really exciting.”
This experience is also tough on all of the seniors because they know that their time here atMilfordis coming to a close, and they do not want to leave this music program behind. James Richardson remarked, “I now have a great circle of friends that I can trust and rely on being in choir, if I could change anything I’d take them all with me toWesternMichiganUniversitynext year.”
