Are You Ready For the Fall Musical?

It’s here for only a short time, at your very own Milford Theatre.  The MHS Performing Arts Center is putting on the hit musical How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying this week on the 19, 20, and 21. The show is sure to be a comical hit with all the hard work and time the cast and crew has put in. Director Megan Weeks has a phenomenal track record in MHS with successful and entertaining performances. Junior Nate Davis, who plays the lead role Finch, is also ready for the show after months of preparation.

Davis described the show as, “Fun and exciting.”

Davis also gave some insight on what it’s like to be a lead in the musical, along with why he enjoys it so much.

“It’s a lot of pressure and it’s stressful, but it’s also a lot of fun and it keeps me busy,” said Davis.

The cast seems to really enjoy performing and working on the show. This production is said to have comedy that is more focused towards a mature audience. This is makes the show a rare gem since most musical productions do not put such an emphasis on comedy.  Senior Lauren Johnson, who is also playing one of the lead roles in the show, the secretary Rosemary, is excited for her final musical at MHS.

“You work your tail end off for three years to land a lead, and then you work your tail end off five times that once you get the lead,” said Johnson. “All in an all, it’s extremely rewarding though, and after today’s run through, I know we are ready to tell this story well.”

The musical looks like it’s going to be a hit this year.  Tickets can be purchased at the door, but you also have the option to pre-order tickets cheaper online at this link here.
