Fall seasonal drinks at Starbucks
October 16, 2021
The air gets colder and the leaves turn into shades of red, orange, and yellow, this means that the fall seasonal menu at Starbucks is back! Some of the best Starbucks drinks come out around this time of year (including everyone’s favorite pumpkin spice drinks). I will be giving thorough reviews on this menu and some of the new additions this fall.
Fall Drink #1: Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato
The Iced Apple Crisp Macchiato is a new fall drink that was added to the Starbucks menu this year. I was hesitant to try this because I thought it would be overly sweet and taste odd because I am not the biggest fan of apple-flavored drinks. However, I liked this drink because it had a more caramel and cinnamon flavor rather than pure apple, which made the drink better. I preferred the iced version more than the hot one because I prefer iced coffee over hot coffee. I would rate this drink 7.5/10 because it exceeded my expectations and wasn’t nearly as sweet as I thought, which was a plus.
Fall Drink #2: Hot Apple Crisp Macchiato
The hot Apple Crisp Macchiato was much sweeter than the iced version of the drink. I think this is because it tastes more like apple pie, so I didn’t like this one as much. Overall, I thought the drink was a strong addition to the Starbucks fall menu, but if you prefer sweeter drinks, then I would recommend the hot version of this drink. I rated this drink 6/10 because it was good, but it definitely was not my favorite.
Fall Drink #3: Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte
Personally, this is my favorite fall Starbucks item by far because it puts you in the mood for fall and is one of their classic fall drinks. For me, whenever I think of fall, I think about pumpkin, so this drink is perfect for this time of year. One of my favorite things about this drink is that the pumpkin flavor is pretty strong, so if you aren’t the biggest fan of this flavor I suggest you don’t try this item and go with the Apple Crisp. Most flavored drinks sometimes lack the flavor that they are supposed to be, but this coffee has a clear pumpkin taste. Overall, I rate this drink a 10/10 and highly recommend you try this if you haven’t already.
Fall Drink #4: Hot Pumpkin Spice Latte
I prefer the iced version of this drink, but sometimes on a cold autumn day a hot pumpkin spice latte is just what you’ll need to warm your heart. The hot version of this drink is stronger because it doesn’t get watered down by the ice. Sometimes the latte is a little strong and the ice dilutes the drink for the better. However if you haven’t tried this run to your local Starbucks and try it! This drink is delicious and deserves an 8/10.
Fall Drink #5: Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
The last fall drink on the Starbucks menu is the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. I am personally not the biggest fan of the Starbucks cold brew, so I was skeptical. However, I was hoping the pumpkin cream would sweeten up the drink and make the cold brew a little less bitter. The cold brew was ok, but I was surprised at how good the pumpkin cream tasted. It wasn’t too sweet at all and spiced up the drink. I was surprised I liked the drink as much as I did and it was a nice combination of pumpkin as well as cold brew. The pumpkin cream wasn’t too sugary at all, and was a nice accent to the cold brew. This drink is ok, but not my favorite, so I would rate this drink as a 6.5/10. I’m not sure I would order this drink again, but I didn’t hate it.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of each drink on the fall Starbucks fall menu. I was surprised that Starbucks would add apple-flavored drinks for fall. but it was one of the best things on the menu! I would recommend all of the drinks but mostly the Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte. If you are looking for something new then try the Iced Apple Macchiato. My overall rating of the 2021 Starbucks fall menu would be 7.5/10.
