As the 2023 football season concludes, Milford High School students look back on the memories made. This season, the Mavpack (Milford High School student section) was booming with excitement and Milford pride. No matter where the game was or how bad the weather was, the Mavpack showed up and didn’t mess around.
Many of the teams Milford plays are in a reasonable range of the school, allowing students to be able to make it to as many as they want. Multiple games took place in Waterford, being 20-30 minutes away and some even less. However, there was one away game about an hour from the school. Taking place at Divine Child, this didn’t turn away the student section. Junior Ellie Ballard explains, “It was kind of a far drive, but my friends and I love to go out and support the school.”
Senior Mahlannie Phetmisy displays her love of photography to the school by taking pictures at the football games. She makes the student section a happier place with her warm personality and love of photography. She has taken many amazing shots this season, capturing unforgettable memories. “It was cool to look back the night after and see all the funny things that happened at each of the games,” says Grace Mead.
Although it is unfortunate that the season many people cherish has come to a close, this year for the Mavericks was so special and the memories made will not be forgotten. The Mavpack is ready to take on basketball season.
