Bonedo Farms offers good scare for a bad reason

During the Halloween season, haunted attractions  traditionally appear in many areas near Milford. However how does Bonedo Farms, the haunted attraction and farm close to Milford High hold up?  Bonedo Farms has only been open for the past two years, yet it still gathers a large audience every fall. The farm features family friendly mazes, cider and doughnuts for sale and it’s popular haunted corn maze and haunted house.

Each haunted attraction starts at night in order to set the creepy tone and vibes throughout the farm. It’s first opening was Sept. 30 where the first group of victims were taken into the haunt.

“Be careful as you enter the haunted corn maze. You will be scared out of your wits. Bring your brave friends and be prepared as you never know what lurks around the next row of corn,” the farm guarantees a terrifying scare on its website.

The corn maze starts out with a hayride to the location. During this ride, participants meet some of the corn field’s residents as they unexpectedly greet you on your way to the haunt.

The attraction starts right when you park your car. Finding our way out while actors scream your name and try to find you is worth the cash for this fun scare.

Bonedo Farms also has an infamous haunted house, terrifying anyone who enters…

To an extent, the website claims “this building is often perceived as being inhabited by disembodied spirits of the deceased who may have been former residents or were familiar with the farm,” but the lack of actors portraying these spirits makes the house just a big room with halloween decor and flashing lights. Hopefully throughout the season more actors will be hired for the haunt later in the season, however, right now Bonedo Farm’s haunted house is the equivalent of walking into a low budget party city.

If you are bored on a weekend make sure you check out the Bonedo Farm’s corn maze, it will sure be an even thrill seekers enjoy, however maybe skip the haunted house as it captures the essence of a cheesy, low budget horror movie.
