After a dominant win over rival Michigan State, Michigan looks to continue their undefeated record and continue to demonstrate their dominance over the rest of the Big 10 conference. Michigan’s defense has held all of its opponents to single digits scores besides Minnesota who was able to post double digits scoring exactly 10 points in a blowout 52-10 loss for the Gophers. Michigan showed why they should be ranked in the top 2 in the nation after easily taking care of business vs rival school Michigan State after embarrassing them in front of their home fans in a 49-0 blowout game resulting in many Michigan State fans leaving early up to as early as half time. However, critics of the Wolverines would be quick to point out their strength of schedule. Michigan has yet to play key opponents in Penn State and Ohio State both of whom at the time of this writing are ranked top 10 in the nation. The result of these games will directly result in which of those 3 teams will most likely be the lone team representing the Big 10 conference in the college football playoff. Critics of the Wolverines would also bring up the ongoing investigation of the Wolverines in a potential sign-stealing scandal. While the results of this investigation are still going on to this day and evidence from both sides is being mentioned daily, the Wolverine’s credibility and reputation of their wins have certainly taken a hit. With a lot of the season remaining the Wolverines still have a lot to prove and there are a lot of different factors that could unfold in a variety of ways. With the college football playoffs being every team’s goal it’s more than achievable than ever for the Wolverines, losses to the Nitni Lions and Buckeyes could certainly alter those plans.
