This year’s basketball season has begun and the Milford High School girls basketball team has high hopes for this winter season. The team’s workouts began late August and the season will be completed in March. When it comes to the performance of the team, there are many goals they strive to meet. “My team goal for the season is to cut down the net at some point because it would be really cool to accomplish something so big senior year,” stated Maddie Stevens. Mira Kelly added, “A goal for our team is to win the conference.” Members also have individual goals for this basketball season. “My personal goal for the season is to just play hard every game,” said Stevens. “This is my last time putting on a Milford Jersey and I want to be as ready for college basketball as I can.” When it comes to Kelley’s goal she stated, “My individual goal is to get more confident with post footwork.” When looking either at the team as a whole or individual players, this season looks bright for the MHS girls basketball team.
