The students at Milford have been in school for two terms and are still going strong, but it’s time for a much deserved break. The upcoming winter break is the perfect opportunity for students as well as teachers to unwind and relax.
Holidays, presents and time off, there is much to be excited about with the upcoming break. The students at MHS are excited for a different reason, visiting their family.
Many students are looking forward to their 17 day break, December 17th through January 2nd. “I think the length of break is fair,” says sophomore Dillon Kesto. “Many people go out on vacation or visit relatives who live far away.”
Kesto is looking forward to the break. And according to him, “I’ll probably spend most of my break at my relatives’ houses,” which is a big excitement for many people. It is indeed a break at the same time as the holidays and many will spend it with their loved ones.
Freshman Sean Noone is looking forward to winter break as well. He is looking forward to visiting with family and taking time off of school.
His favorite thing that has come from winter so far is winning his first basketball game; as a member of the freshman team.
Senior Abby Brenz is another student excited about break. Brenz plans on spending break with friends and family.
“I think the students and I are in need of a break because school is stressful and during the holiday season everyone should get time off in order to spend time with their family,” says Brenz. Family and a nice break is the idea behind the time off around the holidays. This gives people time to visit family from out of town and for Brenz, time to go toMackinac Islandto see aunts and uncles for Christmas.
The holidays are defiantely a time for family and fun, without the worries of school. Students are excited to be away from their teachers and are looking forward to visiting with family.
In many ways this break is a big deal, arousing much excitement. People always look for reasons to gather with friends and family. And get out of school of course. Students and teachers alike are looking forward to their time off from Milford High, for Holiday Break. Noone said it best, “Everyone needs it or we would go crazy.”
