The app Tik Tok has gained a massive audience very quickly. The controversial app is best described as a “THE destination for mobile videos” on the app store. The video app appeals to everyone: kids, teens, parents, grandparents all find that  it has a wide variety of categories to enjoy viewing content of, including food, dancing, sports, pets, gaming, memes, ASMR and everything in between. Tik Toks are posted on a user’s  account with his/her  handle stamped on it. With that, many “Tik Tok creators” quickly became “Tik Tok sensations, ” with some even reaching up to 150 million followers.

Freshman Vivian Black enjoys watching Tucker and Kyle. These boys are brothers, both accumulating about 1.2 million followers on their personal accounts. Their feeds consist of pranks, memes and comedic satire. They often play off making fun of other celebrities and each other. Both boys have YouTube accounts that are quickly growing.

Junior Hayden Howard described his favorite Tik Toks to watch as “car Tik Toks.” His favorite creator, @Nickk_E92, posts mainly about his sports car. He has a growing fan base of 33.2k followers and over 300k likes. His videos take viewers on a journey as they watch him upgrade his mustard yellow BMW e96.

People also love small creators. Senior Ben Coloske said his favorite creator is Milford’s own Senior Connor Heitman. “He has very inspiring content. He also makes very funny videos that make me laugh everyday,” said Coloske. Upcoming sensation, Heitman has just above 200 followers and posts mainly dancing and fishing videos. He has acquired more than 2,000 likes and is humbly creating content daily.

One of the biggest Tik Tok influencers, Addison Rae, is freshman Sophia Hammond’s favorite. Rae has just under 79 million followers and posts a variety of lifestyle, dancing, fashion and beauty videos. She quickly gained attention from a dancing video and has been one of the most iconic Tik Tokers since. Her and other big creators joined a content house under the name of “The Hype House” but quickly left after some in-house drama.

Tik Tok takes time to grow on people, but once an individual  starts, it becomes an outlet, which could be good or bad. Balance is key with social media, but there is nothing wrong with having favorite creators.
